What you can expect from me during our sessions...

I am Jessica, a dedicated and experienced mental health professional with over 20 years of experience in the field. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse populations and a wide range of mental health concerns.

My journey began in 2000 during my undergraduate internship, where I had the opportunity to work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their families. This experience sparked my passion for helping individuals of all ages and led me to pursue further educational and professional growth endeavors.

My professional interests lie in conceptualizing interventions systemically, using relational, client-centered, and cognitive-behavioral theories and tools. I firmly believe in teaching, strengthening, and generalizing skills across important settings to facilitate lasting change for my clients.

Taking a holistic approach, I strive to understand each client individually and view them within the larger context of their lives. This allows me to support the development of healthy and durable skills while fostering positive change. I have worked collaboratively with clients across the lifespan, from individual and relational counseling to assessing the impact of oppression from societal pressures.

My areas of expertise include Autism, ADHD, anxiety, depression, PTSD, life transitions, relationships, children, adolescents, young adults, and family conflict. By using a strength-based approach, I aim to empower individuals and families to overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.

In addition to one-on-one therapy, I have extensive experience in facilitating groups and developing curricula. This collaborative approach ensures that clients have access to a supportive community as they navigate their mental health journeys.

I believe that my personal experience as a woman of color and a member of a Muslim family can be invaluable, should you choose me as your therapist. This background provides me with a level of cultural competency that enables me to create a safe and inclusive space for individuals identifying as BIPOC, immigrants, refugees, and LGBTQ+.

Therapy is a collaborative process, and I am commited to partnering with my clients to help them create permanent and positive changes in their lives. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or your loved ones, I am here to accompany you on your journey toward healing, growth, and fulfillment.

I invite you to reach out and take the first step toward positive changes by reaching out for a consultation. Together, we can empower you to live a more fulfilling life.
