I am a psychotherapist who is a first-generation South Asian immigrant of Nepali descent. I am a relational therapist who believes trust and collaboration is foundational to healing. I strive to foster curiosity about all parts of a person, their connections with others, and the impact of these connections on their well-being.
I have experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, PTSD, and developmental trauma. I also have experience helping individuals who want to explore issues of racial trauma, immigration and acculturative stress, diaspora living, and identity development.
I strongly believe in a holistic, relational-focused, mind-body approach to healing and recovery. I utilize a person-centered, systems-based, and multicultural lens in psychotherapy. I am trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Brainspotting, Adaptive Internal Relational (AIR) Network as well as other mindfulness-based techniques. I use principles and practices from my trainings to help build awareness about nervous system and identify resources for emotional regulation. I also help individuals explore issues related to cultural and social identities and how dynamics of power and privilege may impact individuals and interactions in their social environments. I trust in people’s ability to heal, and I see my role as offering safe space, psychoeducation, and support. I am committed to supporting individuals in their healing journey through a trauma-informed lens.
I am a proud immigrant of South Asian heritage. I am multilingual and speak Newari, Nepali, Hindi, and English. I love sharing about my country of origin and its vibrant cultures, communities, and cuisines. I also have a deep interest in learning about people’s backgrounds and cultures. I value meaningful connections and being in spaces that encourage curiosity, vulnerability, and compassion. In my free time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my friends and family, playing fetch with my dog, and cooking and sharing delicious meals with my loved ones.
